Australian federal and state education ministers have signed off on a new swathe of safety measures to protect children in childcare services. The changes, set to come into effect from September, will tighten rules around digital technology use, shorten the time-frame of reporting abuse allegations to 24 hours, and ban vaping at all childcare campuses.
